Indiana University Verus Western Illinois University While Scoreboard Malfunctions

Indiana
football: Scoreboard malfunctions during Western Illinois game - Yahoo Sports
“BLOOMINGTON — The
second half of Indiana football's game against Western Illinois
University[1] on
Friday night started with officials keeping time on the field after the
scoreboards at Memorial Stadium became in operational”
The scoreboards went dark
at the end of halftime and there was a brief delay as officials discussed the
issue. The Hoosiers have scoreboards
located in each end zone and the game day feed didn't turn back on until there
was 10:33 left in the third quarter. They briefly aired a mini-version of the television broadcast.”
I would change this last sentence to say, “They briefly
aired a small scale of Big Ten Network[2] broadcast’s on the working
parts of the scoreboard.”
“Indiana football
went into halftime with a 42-3 lead over the Leathernecks. The Hoosiers scored
on their first six possessions and didn't allow a first down until there was
less than two minutes to go in the second quarter.

Reasonings behind the
links:
1. I chose to add a link to Western Illinois
University Football page because both teams involved in this incidence, should
have links to their home page on this article.
2. The Big 10 network that Indiana used on
the scoreboard should have been mentioned in this article to give them credit.
I was there at the game, and the broadcast had a score bug, that had all the
information the original Indiana scoreboard had. It was a semi quick fix, but
the Big 10 broadcast bug allowed for the referees not to worry about repeating
the downs and yards over the speakers.
